Scottsdale Community College does not compare itself to the other Community College Maricopa has to offer. Scottsdale Community College is a school I chose to transfer to because of the amount of opportunity it gives the students. There is much more being given, there is much more being offered at the school club wise, academic wise, involvement, almost all around. I had many difficulties applying to different Maricopa schools and campuses due to some poor decisions I have made and I've taken care of. Scc has always been there when I call, when I chat online. It's always there and it's ready to answer my questions. They give me full in-depth real-life situations that may or may not happen to make me aware. Scc is a school I would definitely recommend for an upcoming student who doesn't have the option to go to university. The school works with you and they guide you step by step how to apply to Scc, and how to apply to financial aid. Scc ranges from major to Major going from a business major, a computer major, medical major and even Visual Arts. Scc takes care of their students and puts them as their first priority. Overall the school offers an opportunity and I won't take that for granted. This will be my recommendation school and my school choice to get my associate's degree.

The Scottsdale area is very beautiful but expensive. The graduation rates are not the highest, however, Scottsdale Community College holds high academic standards. The library is massive and so much technology is available for continuing our education as students. It's probably the best thing about the school. Our athletic teams are kept to high standards as well, and very supportive and thankful for all teammates, coaches, and staff. Each sport has two fields and are the best fields in the valley for the community colleges.

It is a very small community college but I have had nothing but good experiences with the professors and administrators. Scottsdale is a cute area but the surrounding area is on the rez so it is pretty empty farm land. The classes are small usually around 20 students. The required courses get a lot of students who don’t care but the higher you get the more focused the class is.

My overall opinion of Scottsdale community college is that it is a blissful and euphoric campus to be on. The student body I have come across show exemplary aptitude for success, which is shown by the drive to learn found in each student. I find that political intercourse can be found in the most estrange of places. ( not just the local cafe) The campus is recently built, so most if not all equipment is up to date. Being a scientific and Arts school I believe to be better suited for predominantly academic endeavors.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I think the worst thing about my school is the same as the best thing about my school: it is enormous. This makes it much more difficult to find the group of people that you fit into perfectly. At the same time though, this means that there are many more options for you to experiment with until you find the perfect group. It also makes choosing classes, meeting with advisors, and getting to know professors much more difficult; however, once you find your niche, the connections that can be made in such a large school are worthwhile.

The thing that is unique about Scottsdale compared to other schools is that it has many different great programs to offer. The buildings make students feel more important because they are brand new and create a possitive learning enviroment for students. Another thing that is unique at scottsdale is the free tutoring for each subject matter. The tutoring is very helpfull for students because it helps them understand the material better and succeed in their classes.
