Schoolcraft College is a great place to start after graduating high school. Besides, students those who plan to transfer to four year schools find this college as very affordable. Moreover, return students rate is increasing grsdually over the years. Schoolcraft College has great and cooperative professors who care a lot about their students and help them succeed in the class. Furthermore, our college tutoring center does an incredible job in bringing out the best in students and help them excel in academics. I love it! The campus is a bit small but that's okay because I don't feel overwhelmed when finding my classes, though the campus is on the smaller side they have a lot of classes to pick and choose from. The professors are always there to help me threw my struggles and also the classmates there are a great help as well. The finical advisory is a great help too with helping me with FASFA.

Cheyenne - 11/08/2019

All my life I pictured myself at a large university. Through my senior year of high school as my financial needs became more clear, I applied to Schoolcraft. I visited Schoolcraft and learned about all of the opportunities I would be given. I was given a list of all of the diverse clubs, activities and exciting events the campus holds through the semester. Now attending Schoolcraft I have fallen in love with the campus, the community feel and the constant support from staff and other students. I am so proud to be an Ocelot!

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I consider the worst thing to be some of the teachers. I think some of the teachers are only ok at what they do. Some teachers are very young and they teach in a style that goes over our heads. On the other end, some teachers are old and they lose track of what they are talking about. Obviously, this is a generalization, some old teachers are really good at what thye do.

  9. What's unique about your campus?

The smaller classroom sizes definately influenced my decisions to attent Schoolcraft, it gives more attention to each student one-on-one, and that is what drew me to the school. While one-on-one attention was what brought me in the dedicated staff is what kept me in. There is not one teacher i was unhappy about, they were all so well put together and prepared which made it easier and better for me to put my all into every class. :)

  12. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The community college atmosphere offers a unique perspective on learning through many different points of view. The students range from the age of 18 to 55, every race and religion. This allows for contrasting opinions that you wouldn't normally encounter at a major university. I learned more about the world, myself, and others through my experiences there than I did all throughout high school. I discovered new information through the curriculums, professors, and other students which helped shape my view on life and existence in general.

  13. What's the Greek scene like?

Outside of the alumni group for the school, there isn't one. Most likely, this is due to the fact that Schoolcraft is located in the middle of a cluster of strip malls and businesses rather than around residential lots where fraternities and sororities would be housed in typical "Greek scenes."

  14. Tell us about the food and dining options.

Spend $5-$10 on cafeteria food at Henry's or spend more than that at the culinary department in their "fancy" restaurant, American Harvest. If you've got the money, Henry's is a good option for lunch.

  15. Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

The best place to get work done on campus would be anywhere you could find peace and quiet. The library has limited seating and is usually packed, unless you manage to get there pretty early. I would advise avoiding the VistaTech Center and Lower Waterman Level where most people go to socialize and up making a lot of distracting noises.
