What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Not to be so stressed out about taking AP classes and always wondering if I was doing enough to get into a college. It all works out in the end. Besides even when you take everything you need to some University's still won't let you in. So work hard to well but enjoy just being in High School.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person who should not attend this school would have to be someone who does not like a very diverse community. There are people of ao many different races who attend. Also, people who want to live on a college campus and experience that "away at college" feeling and atmosphere. Schoolcraft College does not have dormitories or other types of things that four-year universities have. For example, football stadium, fitness center, hockey arena, etc. There are only a few sports they provide to become a part of too.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I consider the worst thing to be some of the teachers. I think some of the teachers are only ok at what they do. Some teachers are very young and they teach in a style that goes over our heads. On the other end, some teachers are old and they lose track of what they are talking about. Obviously, this is a generalization, some old teachers are really good at what thye do.

What's unique about your campus?
The smaller classroom sizes definately influenced my decisions to attent Schoolcraft, it gives more attention to each student one-on-one, and that is what drew me to the school. While one-on-one attention was what brought me in the dedicated staff is what kept me in. There is not one teacher i was unhappy about, they were all so well put together and prepared which made it easier and better for me to put my all into every class. :)

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The community college atmosphere offers a unique perspective on learning through many different points of view. The students range from the age of 18 to 55, every race and religion. This allows for contrasting opinions that you wouldn't normally encounter at a major university. I learned more about the world, myself, and others through my experiences there than I did all throughout high school. I discovered new information through the curriculums, professors, and other students which helped shape my view on life and existence in general.

What's the Greek scene like?
Outside of the alumni group for the school, there isn't one. Most likely, this is due to the fact that Schoolcraft is located in the middle of a cluster of strip malls and businesses rather than around residential lots where fraternities and sororities would be housed in typical "Greek scenes."

Spend $5-$10 on cafeteria food at Henry's or spend more than that at the culinary department in their "fancy" restaurant, American Harvest. If you've got the money, Henry's is a good option for lunch.

Where is the best place to get work done on campus?
The best place to get work done on campus would be anywhere you could find peace and quiet. The library has limited seating and is usually packed, unless you manage to get there pretty early. I would advise avoiding the VistaTech Center and Lower Waterman Level where most people go to socialize and up making a lot of distracting noises.
