If you're looking for an associate's degree or a certificate in health care jobs like Nursing, Pharmacy Tech, or Radiology Tech----it's a great place to start. I think it's a wonderful beginner college, and a brilliant location if you want to transfer. Passionate professors, and seriously affordable classes! It also has great transfer pathways to other universities.

I love Delta as a school. It's a cost-friendly option with professors who care and a ton of wonderful resources for students. The only thing is that sometimes the student environment can be unsafe. I've been catcalled and generally bothered many times. I think because it's an open campus, there are people who don't actually have class here that come to hang out, and sometimes crime from across the street can make it's way here. The on-campus police handle that pretty well, however.

My experience at Delta was unique as I was taking college classes while being a high school student. Delta is a great school, offering many classes and great professors. I enjoyed my time at Delta and most likely will be finishing my AA degree here before transferring to a four-year university.

  3. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I had known that most college students are not sure precisely what they want to do. High school students are so stressed about figuring out what they want to do with their life. I wish I had known how to relax and let things come as they will. College is the time to learn how to be an adult and find yourself.

The worst thing about my school is probably that many classes get filled up very quickly. You need to see a counselor as soon as possible so you know what classes to take, so they will not get filled up and then you will be left without the classes that you need to move on.
