If you are really shy and plan to live on campus, Rutgers may be a difficult school to attend because it is so big. You have to be willing to go up to people and begin conversations to make friends. Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone so you won't be lonely. Most on-campus students seem to find their niches by the second semester of their freshman year.
