Prince George’s Community College Top Questions

I wish someone had told me not to take 8 A.M classes. Something I will keep in mind when scheduling my next semester classes.

I feel that the worst truth I could tell about Prince Georges Community College is that they do not provide a nurturing environment where students can learn and grow. When students really need help from the advisers or registrar they just hit them with roadblocks and unrealistic rules. They do not offer alternatives or sugesstions to help with each students' questions or concerns. The college just seems like a bank that only takes deposits-- the students are not reaping any benefits from the relationship if they cannot register for the classes that they need.

I hate to say anything bad about my school, but if I must say one thing, i will say that too many of the students have to take developmental courses. However, I am not looking down on them , but only saying that my fellow classmates should have a mind to do the best that they can. If they have that mindset, I believe the rate of students taking developmental courses will greatly decrease, if not cease to exist.

The worst thing about Prince George's Community College is that some consider this school as being a secondary high school because as in other state or other Unversites they do not test you on your knownledge. But, at Prince George's Community they test you on what you know and if you dont do so well as a student on a college level they will have you take high school classes that could be a waste of time but they also can help you progress into taking clases upon your major.

I would consider the worst thing about my school is that it seems overcrowded, that's why I'm hoping I get accepted into salisbury for the fall 2010 semester.

The atmostphere can sometimes seem as if I am the only one who cares about getting an education. There are alot of people there going through the motions.
