It's a great college to start your education, meanwhile being able to handle life related responsibilities. The faculty and on-campus events are very useful. It may not be a party school, but fellow students will absolutely help you with anything they possibly can.

I feel like I got a better education here than I did at a well-known private fashion university. The professors for my major were all extremely dedicated and passionate. Most were accommodating and more than willing to help with whatever one may struggle a bit with, being able to showcase at the annual college fashion show was a multifaceted learning and networking experience.

I believe Palomar College can provide great opportunities for self-discovery. The professors there are highly committed to helping their students succeed. I strongly appreciated the few professors I had the pleasure of learning from whom were always readily available and encouraging. The guidance given from the community this college was able to provide also gave me a sense of belonging when I had been in my beginning stages of growing into the individual I am today. I am still growing and will forever be grateful for the time I spent at Palomar College.

Great school for those looking for a stepping stone in life, education, or career progression. I remember graduating high school with zero ambition and even less money. Fortunately, I had parents that pushed me to get off the couch and pursue a degree before inevitably joining the military. Loved every second of it.

    Anyone who is looking to attend a community college before transferring to a university should consider attending Palomar College. Also, students seeking vocational training or an associates degree would benefit from the services and courses offered at Palomar. I have found that not only is this a great school to meet transfer and degree requirements, but it is also a great place to explore careers and majors in an effort to find an academic direction.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    I consider the worst thing about the school is the library hours. Reason being, it opens at 8:00am and most students who take morning classes, have classes around that time. The library should be open an hour our two earlier so students can get work done that they need finished before class.

    I really like the fact that everyone is really laid back and friendly, and all of the teachers are very helpful. I also like the fact that it is in a good area and it is one of the better community colleges.

  7. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    Honestly, I wish I had known how nice it was. The previous school I had gone to was very busy, with many people everywhere, making it a crowded evironment. Palomar is the opposite. Also i wish i had known about the parking. That situation is problematic, because everything is a little spread out (the parking from the classes).

    Anyone should be able to attend this school. Education shouldn't be limited to a certain kind of student, it should be available to everyone and anyone who wants to learn.

    Palomar college is best known for its amazing transfer program, which enables students there to transfer to UC or CSU campuses and for it's many locations throughout San Diego county.

  11. What's unique about your campus?

    The best thing about Palomar College is that the teachers are very good, and willing to help people out with different abilities and or dissabillities to try to bring them to a place of success in their college experience. As far as programs are considered, at Palomar college the DSPS is a program that helps all people with dissabilities to give extra time for tests, to help out taking notes, and offer electrical devices as well that will help people succeed in their classes who have dissabilities. The teachers are willing to help students out individually as well beyond expected.

    My school, since it is a community college, has very full classes making registration difficult.

    A lot of teachers care about the students there. They want to help, if you ask them questions they will help with whatever you have. They want to not only have you learn the material but succeed in life altogether.

    They're fun! I am taking psychology classes this semester and I never thought they were so much fun. I like the professors and the way they teach, not only their personalities, but their humanity.

    My school has no stereotypes. there are children as young as 7 and adults in their 70's. people pretty much mind their own business.
