Napa Valley College is unique from other campuses from how open it is to its classes. Its kept very well clean and the environment feels like a nature walk each day with something different to explore. Napa is a very interesting college to explore especially when they hold events for students to enjoy.

Napa Valley College has a green, bright, and friendly environment for its students. There are resources available for the students such as the Writing Center, Math Center, and even the Librarians who can help you find researching sources for your essays. The classes are good overall but there could be an improvement on the quality of content taught to the students.

I had a really good time at Napa Valley College. It is a peaceful and nice outdoor campus. They have two food trucks that come 4 or 5 days out of the week. There are great programs at the school like Trio, EOPS, DSPS, & Mesa programs to name a few. The professors are wonderful and are always helpful and understanding of their students & have excellent communication with them. NAPA Valley offers a lots of resources to get tutoring for different subjects in math, science, & writing center for English. What I wish could improve about the school is if they could get some food chain sponsors like subway, Starbucks or some similar collaboration in NAPA restaurants. So the students and the faculty could have better alternatives unlike now where there is only the same angel food truck that comes early day and serves American & Mexican food. If that’s not possible then maybe introduce more variety of food so that we could have more options.

Napa Valley College is a great starter-college. The general ed courses are relatively cheap with an abundance with great information. All students on campus are kind and helpful towards each other, and the teachers and faculty are generally very helpful to any problems or questions we may have. There are regular club promotions, workshops for various classes or skills, and transfer workshops. You will only do well if you are self motivated, but everyone on campus is more then happy to help out and be supportive of your goals.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would give myself the advice: Wake up every day and remember why you are going to school and do not be afraid to try new things and take classess that interest you. For college is not only the institution that will give one the some of the education that they will use in the world, but it is also a new place for one to truley show their full potential which decides your future. As well as, it is important to try new things because I need to be sure that I am going to study what I love, not what others want me to study. For what I choose to study, is what I will do for the rest of my life. If I am not having fun, doing what I do, I am not living my life right.

My classmates come from all walks of life. There are young people, old people, and everything else in the middle. They all come from different races like hispanic, caucasian, african american, asian, filipino, indian, and much more. The people on campus are very nice. They will come talk to you and make you feel welcome. Everyone seems at peace, probably because the campus gives off that kind of vibe. My classmates love participating in class discussions and like to form study groups. Everyone pretty much takes school seriously and don't mind lending a helping hand to others.

The school perserves its natural surroundings. The only things that cover the grounds are the things that are needed like buildings, walkways and parking lots. The school has its own vineyard and solar panels. It is also right next to a river that is home to many different birds, animals, and fish. On the campus itself there are peacocks and roosters that run around everywhere. The whole campus is full of wildlife and will make you feel very in touch with nature.
