What kind of person should not attend Marquette University?

Chandler

The type of person who should not attend Marquette University are people who are not willing to put in the time and effort it takes to do well here. If you don't like the city, you may not feel comfortable here since Marquette is right in the middle of downtown Milwaukee. Also, having a Catholic background is always helpful since it is a Jesuit institution, but it most definitely is not required.

The only type of person that should not attend Marquette, is someone who is unwilling to work hard. Yes, Marquette is academically rigorous, but i believe any one who wants to succeed, and is willing to try their best, is a good fit for this university.

Diego

A person who is not determined to succeed in their life at whatever it is they aspire to do should not come to Marquette University. Marquette, being a well respected university, offers numerous opportunities to its graduates. People who are looking to hire graduate students to work for them would be impressed when they see that someone received a degree from Marquette University. So someone who wouldn't capitalize on that type of opportunity should not come to Marquette, because there are thousands of other students who would be more than happy to receive that opportunity.

A person who should not attend Marquette University is someone that does not handle multiple responbilites at the same time very well. This university offers students many outlets to succeed, but in order to make the most of it, students must work very hard. To be a well-rounded student, school work is a priority, and having experience outside of the classroom is equally important. Being involved in clubs/ organizations that assist in your skills will benefit students significantly.

I don’t believe there is a right kind of person that should attend Marquette University. I have met such a wide variety of people in my short time there, all with different stories and dreams. As long as you are willing to work hard and dedicate yourself 100 percent at all times, you will do great at Marquette. It isn’t always easy, but the hard work will always pay off. Marquette is a very diverse campus, and I believe that no matter who you are, you will find it very easy to fit in on campus.

Any person can attend Marquette University, although the person needs to be willing to challenge themselves, help others and make a difference. Marquette truly welcomes all people, but if a person isn't willing to challenge themselves or does not wish to increase their knowledge then Marquette may not be the best choice for that person. The four main qualities a Marquette student aquires throughout their years as a Marquete students are excellence, leadership, faith and service, so if a persson does not wish to obtain these wonderful qualities, then Marquette is not the school for them.

Attending Marquette University and being a part of the engineering program has been the most intellectually challenging thing I have ever done. Instead of discouraging anyone from attending Marquette, my advice would be to make sure you are prepared for the rigors of college. It is my personal belief that anyone can accomplish anything they set their mind to.

Marquette is academically challenging, so I would have to say you need to be ready to work hard and care about your academics. Other than that, Marquette has a place for everyone!
