Brandon - 02/12/2020

I think Kirtland is a great place to start. It allows a cheaper alternative to bigger universities. It is great for transfer students for the first year. It helps show what college is going to be like and if it is right for you. The small class size really helps if you are struggling with a certain topic. Overall, it has been a great experience for me.

Lena - 02/02/2020

When I attended Kirtland, I was only enrolled in online courses. The staff was always there to help with any questions and they were always very kind. Other students were very helpful as well as some messaged me to offer their help in case I had any questions with the homework. I enjoyed my time attending Kirtland and I would definitely recommend it to others.

The staff is super friendly and very helpful! The professors are accepting, understanding and there if you need them.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would probably tell myself to push myslef harder so that I can get better grades to be able to get more scholarships and awards. I also would tell myself that everything will be okay once I leave for college, that Kirtland is the best choice for me in starting out. I would insist that I will do great in transitioning into college life and that it will be better than I thought. I would talk to myself about trying new experiences before college and even during college.

Any person who is willing to dedicate themselves to learning should attend Kirtland Community College. In every class that I have, there is a huge diversity of ages. Kirtland students spend a lot of time in class and outside of class doing their homework to prepare themselves for their future job.

  9. What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love the atmosphere on campus, it's so relaxed, yet everyone is working hard. If you're in a specific program, like nursing or criminal justice, Kirtland is a great place to get your degree. But for someone like me, just needing general ed's, it's hard to get the classes I need because the school is so small.
