I would advise myself to be confident, bold, and don't let anyone tell me what I should and should not do. My first year of college I picked a major that my mom was more approving of and after the first semester I didn't like my major so I changed it. I told my mom my reasons for changing my major and what I planned for my future. She realized she had pushed me into doing something that I did not want to do and accepted what I wanted. In High school I was usually the shy girl so in college I was just as shy and didn't make many friends. Now after a couple years I feel that I am more confident and bold and that I'm able to make friends more easily. I would tell myself that college is nothing to be affraid of and just because you feel small and unimportant doesn't mean that you are and you should give up. Fight for what you want and fight to thrive in the college world so you prosper in the real world.

I would advise myself to take life more serious . Also to make sure that I would have researched all my options on the education level . And to find what field of higher learning to choose to complete my career choice so when that decision was made I could have more time to focus on my goals.

Hello Joshua,
Congratulations! You have lived a life to its fullest, whether that be mission trips or many nights of playing Jazz guitar. I will have you know that your ability to keep your identity amongst such temptation to join the crowd has allowed for a most successful start in your adult life. Simply put having your own identity is the true key to a mature adulthood.
However, as I stand before you there is one thing I know , you must pursue a four year college right off the bat. This will allow for a most excellent transition to college because you will realize your potential and talents. By attending a two year community college, you will have to momentarily freeze this potential and growth. Essentially, if you start on the path and go the way I have told you, you will end up at your location to realize your potential. However, if you continue on the path you plan to, you will hit a bump and detour from your true actualization in which you will eventually realize.
Your cool able to grow a full beard as you desire self,

Do not screw around. Grades and homework matter, and you definitely need a college education if you want to succeed in life. Also you are going to marry that girl. :)
