Greenville College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Greenville College? Why?

Alexis

Greenville, Illinois is basically located in the middle of some corn fields. While the town is really nice, its small size can be frustrating. Greenville has all of the basic needs: a grocery store, banks, small department stores, etc. However, the closest Wal-Mart is twenty miutes away in either direction. While we are only about forty-five minutes from St. Louis, the town itself lacks many of the stores and conviences that students from larger towns, like myself, are accustomed to.

The worst thing about Greenville, from my perspective, is the level of competition in the Theatrical Arts. With a limited number of people involved in theater, there are less people to go up against. However, this does mean that many students can participate if they want to.

I think the worst thing about my school is the lack of activities on campus. It seems as if half the students go home every weekend because there is absolutely nothing to do on campus. I think more students would stay on campus if there were fun and interesting activities planned. It would be great if there were student-planned and student-led activities as well. If the students are allowed to create their own fun, they will be excited to invite their friends to stay over the weekend to enjoy the fun with them.

There is not enough study space. The library is nice, but we would like to see some place that could be open 24-hours instead of closing at 10pm. This is the time when we start studying!

Alycia

The worst thing I consider about my school is the cost. Since it is a small, private school, the funding is not as great as other state universities. I love my college, but I have had to take out loans and work two jobs to pay my way through.

John

Nothing honestly, as I am not a picky person, and I just go to class and leave.

Rylan

The worst thing about this school is the rules. The lifestyle statement and restrictions sometimes make me feel less than adult.

Sarah

I wish my music program had the right type of teachers teaching the classes.

Jon

How the people around campus and very conservitive and there needs to be more girls.

Ben

Although Greenville is a Christian school, the administration often runs too much like a business, instead of a Christian school.
