The best advice I could give myself as a high school senior would be to not let the stress of my senior year or the entire college transition process keep me from having fun. I remember letting the anxiety and stress of applying to college and numerous scholarships get to me, especially the further the process continued. There were many nights I stayed at home instead of hanging out with friends or going out because I was so worried about everything falling into place. It not only kept me from having fun, but I also chose to not get a job because I was too concerned I wouldn't be able to handle the stress of school, a job, and all that came with transitioning to college life. Many of my classmates struggled with the same issue; I know that being able to go back in time and give myself that advice would not only be beneficial to me, but many others as well.

I would say " hey you, you're me a few years ago and you my high school self need to break free from your shell and be more assertive in your future. Take charge of your education. Also you need to work on this procrastination thing it's not going to do you any good, that is unless you like the stress. Don't try and take on two jobs, school and extra-curricular activities it's far too much to handle. So in order to pay the bills drop the fun stuff school is priority number one. You won't always get a second chance to make things up so go for it and do your best the first time. Oh and by the way have a great year it's sure to be a good one" I origionally wanted to go to UNC Charlotte and was accepted and prepared to go, but I wasn't able to because i hadn't finished all of the necessary paperwork for housing in time because I was to shy and unassertive to ask anyone what I needed to do. So I had to go to Forsyth Tech.

I would tell myself to go straight to college and not put it off. The longer you wait the harder it is to go back. I would have made sure I had gone to colleges in my senior year and talked to counslors to discuss a plan of action so I would have been more likely to stay on course. Now that the economy is in the state it is a job like I had doesn't pay the bills anymore and its alot harder to find ways to cut back working and still be able to pay the bills. Education is important unless you don't mine being another drone. The people on the bottom of the totum poll are very important, but they never make it to the top, and are always underappriciated.

College is one of the biggest and best decisions a person can make. The decisions you make right now as a high school senior can make or break your future and affect you for the rest of your life. College is more than just getting away from home and being on your own for the first time, it is pursuing your dreams and making the most out of life and your education. Going to college does more than just give you book knowledge, it opens up new opportunities to explore things that you are passionate about. A college education gives you the chance to get into a career that you love learning about and working with. Who doesn't want to get paid for doing something they are really interested in and passionate about? In the end all the hard work, stress and late night studying will pay off and you will have a career you love, great memories and knowledge that no one can take from you.

No matter how close the end may seem you must keep on fighting and giving 110{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} towards your school work. College may seem big and scary but really everyone there is in your own shoes and just trying to get to a goal in life. No matter how bad your speaches in Public Speaking may be or how wrong your chemistry lab experiment may go, don't worry. No one will laugh and even if they do it's all okay. Start today and change for the better. Wake up early and be prepared to study, and get all you can out of life and school because no matter how hard it may be only those who try and those that rise after they fall will be the ones to succeed. College can be fun and it will be hard but with wisdom and courage you will be the one to succeed and rise when everyone else has fallen. P.S never doubt yourself and alway remember who you truly are. Never let anyone else tell you what you believe and what you can't do.

Don't try to work during school. School work is your job and you have to give it all you've got to do the best you can. You can always work during the summer or holidays to make your money. But while school is in session, focus on schoolwork.
