If I could go back in time I would tell myself to have fun, and to stop trying to grow up so fast. I would tell myself that everything is going to be just fine, and that everything that happens in high school will be forgotten about a year later. I would say be young while you can, because the real world is harder than you imagined. I would try to make myself understand that while it is good to work hard in high school, it is also important to have fun and make mistakes before you are made to grow. Lastly, I would tell myself that everything that I am doing and everything I have worked for will pay off in the end and make me a very successful young lady.

There are so many things I would tell my high school self. I am 32 years old now and the best advice I would give is to get all the rule-breaking out of your system and then get serious. I was not ready for college right out of high school. I felt as though I needed a break but I knew my parents wanted me to go to college. I ended up wasting those years and money away. I would also tell my high school self to think about the future instead of living in the present. I was so wrapped up in sports and I based my educational decision on that and stayed in my home town when I really should have gone away to discover myself and what I wanted for my life.

Out of my college experience I learned how to be more responsible. College life isn't like high schoo you have to make sure you make it to all your classes on time and you also have to learn to manage your classes right. For example I picked all my classes in the morning so I can get them out the way early and to also be able to have time to study and do homework and to go to work after. In college teachers don't help you out as much as they do in high school, so I have build better study habits. College is alot harder then high school so you as a student have the responsibility to keep up with all your work and make sure you turn them in on time cause you can't risk to have missing work.

I would have told myself a lot but knowing me back then, I would not have listened. I guess that is just part of being a teenager. I would say to take your time and do not be afraid to ask. I had this fear of looking stupid. I look back on some people that I graduated with, and they're in worst situations than me. I would have said to stay in school the whole day instead leaving at lunch. I had this thing for skipping just cause the class was easy. I would have told myself to pick another group of friends. Everyone told me but I never realized how true it was until l got older that you are who you hang around and I took me a little time to get there but I turned into a single mom with just a high school diploma. The five people that i was friends with only me and another girl graduated. All of them are single mothers of at least 2 children and are high school dropouts. Last but not least I would tell myself to believe only what you see and none of what you hear.

Dear self, please school and life more serous. Nothing in this world is promised or given, you have to earn it and work hard it all. Put education above anything and the rest will follow. Dreams do lead to ambitions and ambitions can lead to success if they're utilized. Tell mom you love her evryday all day for time here is short and no one wants to live with regrets. Wake up!!! Because sleeping on life will leave you with a lot of lost dreams. Signed Yourself Adrian Hall

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a senior, I would tell myself to be prepared. I have started college now and I didn't realize how much I would have to pay for and how different college classes are. I would want to tell me that I need to get scholarships and colleges applied for as soon as possible, instead of waiting until the last minute. I would also say that college gives you a lot more freedom, nobody is going to make you do your work, so be ready and willing to do the work.

I would advise myself to apply to as many schools as possible. I would also encourage myself to think more critically about college and career choice and apply for as many financial opportunities as possible. It has taken me a long time to get to the place where I actually should have started. If I had known then what I know now my whole approach to going to school would have been different. I would have applied for financial aid well in advance as well as referred to as many resources as I could to help offset the cost of school. I definitely was in over my head and looking at how things are now, I could have prevented quite a few of the hardships that I have had to endure. I would advise myself to really take time to evaluate my life and where I want to be in five years and that would help me address my continuing education needs. If I knew then what I know now, where would I be today? But I am grateful to be where I am now so and the only place to go from here is up.

I would tell myself, "Apply for financial aid now, because you won't have a lot of time to go to the office they have and apply there. You need a job, now. Trust me, because tuition for one semester is expensive, and Mom won't keep paying forever. Try not to wait until the last minute to do papers, because these teachers actually read your work, and the way they grade is different. Lastly, remember this. Skipping class is bad in itself. However, it will eventually catch up to you, and you'll regret not having been there."

I would tell myself to apply for all the scholarships that you can and make the grades because that will help. Also work through highschool that will also give you government assistance.
