I think Everett Community is a good school for me

Tara - 08/10/2021

Everett Community College has forever made a massive impact on my future. I stuck to the health science wing and I had nothing but a wonderful experience. Every single professor in health science was fabulous, very attentive to their students and was very invested in their success.

Parking sucks and permits are $60 per quarter whether you can find a spot or not. Financial Aid Dept. is inconsistent and sometimes seems willy nilly in there decision making process. In my program, the instructors are knowledgeable and pack a lot of information into their classes. Overall, I could easily give the instructors an A-. The other aspects of the college drug the entire rating down to a D+. Financial aid and overall costs are important so even with the best instructors there is little stability when it becomes unaffordable midway through your program. Thanks Student Aid.

I feel that education is valued by both students and professors, and I appreciate the diversity and accessibility in every class I have been in. You will meet people of all kinds, and professors are usually very willing to help in any way they can, you can tell they are there to help you! The downside is, Everett can be an unsafe place, and in the evenings or when walking to the parking lots, it can be scary as a female. Another critique is the parking is often far away from campus, and there are not enough parking spaces during the busy parts of the day!

Everett Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Everett Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Everett Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Apply for classes now! Do not wait a week or two, and just assume that the classes you want will still be open. talk to your advisors, and do it often. They are paid to help you figure things out, they are more than happy to listen to your problems and work through them with you. Apply for scholarships and grants and loans. If you don't go looking for them, you can't get them. Take classes that will challenge you, but not ones that you can't pass. No point in paying for a class that you're going to have to take twice. And most importantly, stop being so stubborn. Would you rather feel stupid for a minute by asking an obvious question, or feel stupid for a whole quarter because you refused to ask it?

The best thing about my school is the diversity. All the students have such different enthnical backgrounds that when we get together we learn more form each other then we knew before. We become friends with people here that outside of school we would have never talked to, because they speak a different language or have a different religion. But because we see each other on a daily basis we grow together and learn together.
