What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Apply for classes now! Do not wait a week or two, and just assume that the classes you want will still be open. talk to your advisors, and do it often. They are paid to help you figure things out, they are more than happy to listen to your problems and work through them with you. Apply for scholarships and grants and loans. If you don't go looking for them, you can't get them. Take classes that will challenge you, but not ones that you can't pass. No point in paying for a class that you're going to have to take twice. And most importantly, stop being so stubborn. Would you rather feel stupid for a minute by asking an obvious question, or feel stupid for a whole quarter because you refused to ask it?

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school would have to be the parking. There is never any parking available for students that start school later then 10am. Most of the time students have to along the street, and blocks away.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
Anyone can attend community college as long as they are responsible. If you are able to be accountable for doing your homework and studying without someone to tell you what you need to be doing every step of the way, you can make it through any program. Community college is great for people who have other things going on too: if you are a mother or have a job or have other priorities you can still get an education.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about my school is the diversity. All the students have such different enthnical backgrounds that when we get together we learn more form each other then we knew before. We become friends with people here that outside of school we would have never talked to, because they speak a different language or have a different religion. But because we see each other on a daily basis we grow together and learn together.
