MY OVERALL OPINION OF EVEREST UNIVERSITY IS THAT THEIR FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT ON COMMUNICATION WITH STUDENTS WHEN IT COMES TO UNDERSTANDING THEIR ACCOUNTS WHEN YOU ARE CALLING TO GET HELP FOR SCHOOL TUTITION, AND NOT JUST DROP YOU OUT OF SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THAT A SCHOLARSHIP DON'T EXIST AT THE LAST MINUTE,AND NOW I CANT GET MY DEGREE.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Don't be in such a rush to grow up is probably the first thing I would tell my highschool self. Pace yourself, and savor the college experience while you are still young, single and have no children. Go to college now while you can concentrate fully on that and that alone. And choose better firends. The ones you have now are not good for you and they are in no way good for shaping your future. Your edication is important. Take it more seriously!!!

  3. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

I attend Everest University which is formerly known as Florida Metropolitan University. I can honestly say that I don't know the exact things they are well known for but I personally know them through my two year experience with them. My student advisors, financial reps, and everyone else that I have spoken to on a regular basis regarding my schooling with them have been nothing but encourgement . The people that represent this school have given me guidance and helped me out tremendously. They're always on top of things and for that I commend them. Thank you Everest University.

  4. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I brag most about being about to go somewhat at my own pace. Being a mom and working full time is hard enough without tryin gto go to an actual college campus for classes. I like that I am a llowed to go online.

  8. What's unique about your campus?

In life we are giving a free will. With a free will comes wisdom and life is about making wise decisions that will propel you for the future. For those of you that are in the hard decision making process about continuing on to a higher education, I strongly advise to use the gift of wisdom that you have been given. We were all born with talents and it's up to us to discover them. It is not for us to hide our talents but to use them wisely before they are taken away and given to someone else.

  9. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I had known a bit more about the finacial procedures of my school prior to blindly signing the sheets of papers placed before me. This isn't to say I regret my decesion. I just wish I had made a more informed decesion. With better fincaial stability, attending school would become much moer managable.

  10. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

If everything were perfect then we would not have any room to learn from our mistakes. So with that being said, Everest University has plenty of room to become the best that it can be. I would say the worst thing about my school and with the experience that I went through was when I had to switch campus's. It was very long and repetitive because it was as if it was the same name but it was treated as if it was a different school entirely.

  11. What kind of person should not attend this school?

The Brandon campus of Everest University is a tight-nit, familial environment. Students and teachers alike nod to each other in passing, and you develop close relationships with those you see everyday. The teachers here are awesome, involved individuals who address you as the human you are. If you work for it, and are willing to listen to your teachers, you will go far. If you are the kind of person who likes to show up late everyday, goof off, and are not at all serious about your education or direction in life, this is not the school for you.

  12. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating aspect of my current school has to be the way the school handles attendence. Though they allow students to make up the hours missed, giving them a 14 day grace period. The fact that they include weekends in the make 14 days seems unfair since school is not open on those days. Should missed hours not be made up in time, they are held against you, Unable to be made-up further
