My opinion about Eastern Mennonite is it is like home away from home. And the teacher to student relations are the best I have ever seen in a school. It location is perfect because it is located in a valley that makes it a better environment to study.

It is a very nice campus to visit. placed in the Shenandoah valley, it has a very nice view especially from the top of the hill. everyone is nice and they are very helpful, even if you are not a student there. they make you feel welcome and try to help you to the best of their abilities.

Gefania - 04/10/2019

Eastern Mennonite University is an academically strong university with a family-friendly feeling. EMU has created an affordable safe environment for students with room to grow and improve. Students are guaranteed a bright future with a degree from EMU.

Hate that school! I encourage anyone thinking of going there to think twice. The only good thing about the school was it is a safe campus and very small class sizes. Some of the professors are down right hateful and spiteful. I actually can not believe i stayed at this school for the amount of time that I did. Some of my other classmates also hated it. This place is definitely a waste of time and money. I completely regret this waste of time. The only good thing I got of this experience was a life long friend.

  7. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

EMU is probably best known for their Cross-Cultural Study programs. I went to the Middle East for a semester for mine. The Cross Cultural program is a little different from most study abroad programs because it emphasizes full submersion into the culture. I loved with a Palestinian family for 3 weeks, then we stayed on kibbutzes in Israel. It is a very wholistic and enriching experience. You get a true sense of the culture and an experienced world traveler by the end of the trip. You even get a week to go anywhere on your own in that region!

Community! Eastern Mennonite is all about the community. We are a big enough school that not everything knows everyone but small enough that we can have game nights, watch movies together and build a friendly community within the student body. It's definitly been something I like and value about my school.
