What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would give an advice for myself, do every school work ahead. Starting from application, easays, and decide early which school I want to go and why I want to go that specific school, in addtion of mind readiness. Other than this I will tell my self to make sure that i can affored that school financially.

What's unique about your campus?
The small class sizes allow students and professors to actually get to know eachother. Professors are very willing to help students both academically and in other areas they may be stuggling with. Professors offer students many opportunties to join their research projects. There is also a strong professor led study abroad program that allows students to become involved in another culture rather than just being tourists.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.
EMU is probably best known for their Cross-Cultural Study programs. I went to the Middle East for a semester for mine. The Cross Cultural program is a little different from most study abroad programs because it emphasizes full submersion into the culture. I loved with a Palestinian family for 3 weeks, then we stayed on kibbutzes in Israel. It is a very wholistic and enriching experience. You get a true sense of the culture and an experienced world traveler by the end of the trip. You even get a week to go anywhere on your own in that region!

Community! Eastern Mennonite is all about the community. We are a big enough school that not everything knows everyone but small enough that we can have game nights, watch movies together and build a friendly community within the student body. It's definitly been something I like and value about my school.
