It is a really nice school.

Mikayla - 05/02/2024

Eastern Kentucky University is a fairly safe and overall friendly campus to be a part of. Most professors are highly responsive and show you that they want you to succeed, however there are some that are different and don't give the same treatment. I found that it's very easy to love EKU once you find your place on campus and once you get involved in what you love.

Jalil - 12/17/2023

I love EKU and the amount of people there who are very helpful in seeking higher education while assisting you to reach for better in your academics and life journey. I’ve met some very talented individuals and learned more about myself in the process of developing as an artist.

Leigha - 11/06/2023

Eastern Kentucky University is nothing special, but it’s a good bang for your buck. Advising is pretty bad though, at least in the art department, so prepare to really be on top of your own schedule. Campus housing is alright, better than Morehead in my opinion. But overall college is what you make of it. Right now art students are in the process of reviving the Association of Student Artists, and holding a student art show in the spring. They’re doing some exciting stuff with that, and any student can create a club on-campus, so students definitely have opportunities here.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I believe there is too much emphasis on the fraternities and sororities. They get quite a few priviledges that most students on campus do not get. Greek life is not the most emphasized group on campus, but they do have a lot of recognition, and do get a lot more than other groups.

These are false. Granted some students may be better off with money and drive a nicer car, it does not mean every EKU student is a rich snob. Also, we are not all partiers. You have some fun when you need to, and you do your work when you need to.
