Davidson College Top Questions

If I'm awake at 2 am on a Tuesday, I'm in the union eating pizza on a study break from the library... I met my closest friends through my team and the other athletes. My closest friends not associated with an athletic team I met through Connor or through my Freshman hall.

Everyone seems to be invovled in a sport or keeping fit in some way. EVERYONE. Frats and eating houses are a MUST for most individuals. its odd if you aren't in one. Everyone leaves their doors open. Everyone goes to every type of event. dating SUCKS though. Weekends are awesome and invovled lots of drinking and dancing and hanging out. but a lot of drinking and dancing.

Patterson Court is awesome. Everyone can go to ANY party, no matter what frat/eating house you are associated with. Obvi, Connor House is the best eating house.

Sports, fraternities, and eating houses are the most prevalent social groups on campus. I am involved with Connor House, an eating house with some amazing girls. Most of my friends are part of this organization, and my guy friends are mostly Kappa Sigmas or soccer players. Basketball games are great events to attend, and most of the student body shows up. Patterson Court is where people go out to at night, where the upper classmen housing is as well as the fraternity and eating houses.

Even though students study really hard, they also know how to have a good time which is important.

I love being a part of my eating house. We have a great time and do community service too. There is a nice mix of partying at Davidson too. There is always something going on. People are fairly social and leave doors open. If you want it to be, Davidson can be a great work hard party hard school.

I feel like there are activities available for every type of person on campus. I started one this year and was given a lot of support to make that happen, so I know first hand. There are also many things on weekends that don't involve drinking at all, while there is always an open party to go to. Students are very friendly.

Work hard, drink hard...

davidson may be small and serious but we definitey know how to party.

We have fraternities and eating houses. Eating houses are the Davidson version of sororities. I am in Warner Hall eating house and it is amazing! A lot of students leave their door unlocked or open. Basketball is the most popular sport. Davidson brings some very amazing guest speakers. Dating is hard here because the campus is small so everyone knows everyone and everything about them and we work hard so a lot of dates turn into study sessions. My closest friends i met during freshman orientation activities. Some traditions and events include: during exam time all students on campus lean out their windows or go outside at midnight and scream to the top of their lungs; SPRING FROLICS whoo hooo!; Rush week for the frats; Christmas in Davidson; After midnight with free chick-fil-a; freshman olympics; flickerball. Peopl have the opportunitie to party on campus Wednesday through Saturday.
