I would tell my high school senior self to study harder and dont worry about leaving home youll be fine and be able to make new friends. I would also tell my self to apply for more scholorships, since we all know collge is expensive. I let myself know it is not hard making friends and college is not all about the parties there are other activites to keep yourself entertained, and to have fun and not to stress out.

I would have several pieces of advice for myself as a high school senior. First and foremost is to be more independent. College grants you a lot of freedom, and you need to know how to manage that wisely. To be better prepared for the real world, I would tell myself to learn and do more things for myself without the help of my parents. Another piece of advice is to look at multiple colleges and universities. I would tell myself to look at more than just one community college and one four-year college. There are so many options to choose from, so you need to see what is right for you and not limit yourself. Another word of advice is to take more dual-enrollment classes. Taking some college courses in high school prepares you for the tougher coursework without throwing you into it all at once. And lastly, I would tell myself to be more outgoing and experience new things. Join more clubs and make more connections so you’ll have an advantage when you start the next stage of your life. Don’t be scared; be excited for all of the new opportunities awaiting you.

Your doing a good job, take more math classes and stay at Amundsen. College life is not that hard, remember to write down all due date, although you argue with him alot Mr.Pate is a great teacher. Organization is KEY to your success, do not procrastinate life will stress you out enough--completing classwork before class will drop several of your grades. You know you can do this so get it done right the FIRST time

If I could go back and tell my high school senior self anything, first off I would start off by saying, "Take a deep breath, it's not as hard as it seems." My senior year leading up to college was so stressful because I was worrying about if it was going to be extremely difficult and no one would be there for me. In actuality, all the professors are their to help you do the best that you can. I would then tell myself, "It's ok if you are unsure of your major, you still have time to think about it and people are there to help you along the way." Signing up for classes was the hardest for me because I didn't really know what I wanted to study. After talking to career services, I believe I am finally on the right track. Lastly, I would tell myself to just have fun and enjoy the ride. You only get to live your college years for a short time. Have fun, don't get to stressed out, and just live everyday like it's your last.

Go to class. College isn't anything like high school; you can't just slack off and expect to do well. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Go get healthy, physically and mentally, then prepare for college. I know you're afraid and spend a lot of days wondering if you'll be able to handle the college experience but once you figure yourself out, things will be so much better. When you do get started in August, don't miss a single class, lecture or lab. Go to every single one, talk to every single classmate; the worst they can do is say they don't want to talk to you which is okay. I know you're stressing out about finding friends at college or losing your highschool ones, but don't worry, just be friendly and it will happen. But, again, your biggest concern is going to classes at all. Don't miss because you just don't feel like going; you'll put tons of stress on yourself, your sister, and Mom. Like one of your favorites, Slick Rick, said, "Don't be a fool like those that don't go to school."

I would tell myself to take the general education courses first. Leave the major specific courses alone until you are sure what you are wanting to do in life. I changed my major four times from the time I enrolled into DACC to present. Although I am not far from the planned course of education. It would of helped out alot if I would of taken more general education courses early on in my college career.
Another thing I would tell myself would be to study a little more often than I did in the beginning. Study habbits are much needed as you go through college. You tend to fall behind in one course and it could be a struggle getting that grade back up.

I would first tell myself as a senior that I would need to fill out as many scholarships as I possibly can and also make sure that my academic strengths exceed my average standard. Next I would tell myself to keep a great relationship with my counselors because they can truly help me get into the right direction as of what would be good college for me and also what career would be good for me. Then I would tell myself that I need to really get in the habit of paying more attention in class and also get stronger towards being a responsible student because in college no one tells you when to study or when to come to class because you are considered an adult when you walk in that class room and adults have got to discipline theirselves to stay on track. Finally I would tell myself to get the best ACT and SAT score possible because they can also set you in a helpful state of mind while entering college. Lastly I would tell myself to keep GOD in my thoughts because he can truly help me through a great college life.

If I could go back in time and give advice to myself as a high school senior, my advice would be to do more college planning. I would tell myself to be sure to apply for every possible scholarship that became available. Along with scholarship searching, I would advise myself to seriously think about where I wish to be in five years in terms of a career and where I like to live. My last piece of advice would be to take more dual enrollment classes so that I would have a bigger headstart on my college education. If I had done more planning, I would have been able to narrow down my college search sooner to avoid the stress of last minute college searches and decisions, I might not have had to attend community college because I did not have money to cover higher tuition costs, and I could currently be closer to completing my college education. Aside from earlier and more serious college planning, I would remind myself to truly make the best of my senior year.

There are so many things that I wish I could change about my first year of college and my senior year of high school. If I could go back and talk to myself, I would tell myself to relax. My schedule at the beginning of the year was incredibly busy. After marching band practice, I had to go home, do my homework, and go to work. I worked a minimum of twenty hours a week. I needed an hour to just collect myself and stay calm.
The second thing I would tell myself would be to carefully budget my time. I should have kept a list of scholarships and projects and their respective due dates. By doing this I wouldn?t have missed as many deadlines.
College is a more independent form of education. You have to make the choice go to class, and do the homework. As a student I have to contact my professor if I need help. Time management is crucial.
College has taught me the necessary life skills to succeed in my future. I believe that I am the best and most qualified person for this scholarship because I now have these necessary skills.

The advice that I would give to my senior self is to buckle down and study. Make sure that you make the grades that they college and scholarship committees will be happy to look upon when considering you. Make sure that once you start college do not drop out and get a job think that you will only be in this job for a while stay in school and focus on your degree, because you are going to make a difference in this world.
