Columbia International is a wonderful private institution that really lets you have fun and the student life there is amazing despite it being a private school there are many opportunities around the campus area that you really can't enjoy your time at this small private institution.

Joseph - 09/26/2020

Columbia International University is an amazing place to live and learn, there is a very substantial focus on learning from a christian worldview and making good connections. Were lucky enough to have professors that understand the value of good connections and experience and work constantly to infuse those things into us. The classes and environment of CIU are amazing and I would absolutely recommend it.

Natalie - 05/28/2020

It is a great school for students who are Christians, especially students who plan to work in the ministry in some capacity. I would recommend this school to any young person who is undecided. Even if one is undecided, he or she can be a general major.

Chariti - 10/05/2019

As soon as I got on campus I felt like I was at home. Everyone was inviting, and my questions about their programs were answered proficiently. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wold like to be in a tight-knit Christian community.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The most valuable lesson I have learned attending college and being around academia is that: Now I know that I don't know. Once a person (especially a young person) has admitted this simple truth to themselves they are open to learn about any new viewpoint, idea and concept. One does not have to embrace all the new material they have learned as correct, but it will never hurt someone to get a new viewpoint, after all, the world is only what we perceive it to be.

  3. What kind of person should attend this school?

Absolutely any person who wishes to know the Lord and to make Him known to others should come to this school. This school is on fire for Christ, and God is working in this school. If you have a passion to know Him and to make Him known (to impact the nations with Christ) then this is the school for you!

  7. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Perhaps I would have liked to know the different issues and topics being discussed on campus, perhaps I would have liked to know the work load in some of the classes, as well as known a little more about the community so I would have been better prepared for life on campus.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

CIU's worst flaw is that some a small percentage of the professors are too old to teach. While most of the professors are top notch, there are a select few who teach core classes that are close to 90 years old and will repeat themselves and give strange tests about material that was not covered in class.
