What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself that college is hard, so don't slack off now. Senior year will prepared you for college. It teachs you that even though you have freedom, you need to be responsible for your actions. So do your homework and always remember that you won't get what you truly want if you take the easy way out.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would've known more about different types of scholarships and that many things have deadlines to them (i.e.- scholarships, grants, financial aid, etc). The main thing I'm worried about is the expenses that college bring and how will I be able to pay for my classes and required school materials. I also wish I would've known about the different courses taught at my school, and what classes are required of me to take.

What kind of person should attend this school?
Anyone is able to attend City College of San Francisco. The campus is open to those who have and who do not have an educational plan for college. Also, many individuals that attend CCSF juggle a full time job while attending school in order to save up for when they transfer to a four year university. Other individuals that attend CCSF are newly graduated students from High School and also older adults ranging from their twenties to their sixties. It is safe to say that CCSF is open to having anyone that is focused and committed, to attend their campus.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
People shouldn't attend to this school because many of them don?t want to take it seriously and they just want to be with their friends. Also they shouldn't attend because they waist other peoples times and that is not fair for others. Even though, there are many of us that have part time because we have other responsibility. In addition, people shouldn't attend because they just are in school because of their parents or guardian. However, many people don't have the capacity to keep studding base on the economy that they are going through life .

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The College that i will be attending this upcoming spring 2010 is a prestigious private school founded in Oakland. Due to the fact that it is a private school i am having trouble getting complete coverage of tuition. Although i have recieved a generous amount of grants and scholoarships, i am still short. I am currently unemployed and have no means of covering the cost for spring 2010, so that has been one of the most frustrating situation i am faced with.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.
City College of San Francisco is best known for having a committed and knowledgeable faculty. When one thinks of community college they may not have such a positive outlook in its education, yet in reality, community college allows the individual to become more familiar with "college life" and gives the person a different perception with what they might have originally thought of about a 2-year college. The faculty truely cares about its students and focuses on helping each student succeed in their individual goals. The faculty is passionate towards their careers and also their students.

City College of San Francisco is unique because it has many different campuses throughout San Francisco, which is very convenient for all people who would like to attend a college in San Francisco. Other schools that I had considered where UC's but unfortunately, going to a UC is very expensive unlike CCSF, which is very affordable. I get a wonderful education and work towards my goal of transferring to a UC after achieving my AA degree.
