It is a great place to get an Associates Degree, or save money by taking core classes to transfer to a four-year school. I took advantage of the Office of Disabilities for accommodations. The resources offered are amazing. I used the FREE tutoring. career services, and advising. My friend raved about the Veteran services.

This is a fantastic school. I have been to umass dartmouth and they are nowhere near as quick and helpful at BCC is. I have had so much help financially and the school even gets back to me extremely quick about payments, costs, class grades, my application for nursing etc. it is truly amazing

I loved it, totally recommend going to this community college. Best thing that I did after leaving high school, close to home, great classes, amazing teachers and the campus was beautiful. Loved going to class everyday and I will definitely miss the campus and the people!

Caitlyn - 01/31/2020

I was disappointed at first when I had to attend BCC. I didn't have the money to attend the college I got into. I was ashamed and not looking forward to it. I didn't think the education was as good. I was wrong. I got a great education from experienced professors and made so many like-minded friends than I did in high school.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could talk to my senior self, I would warn myself to start saving early. I went to the University of Kentucky for half of a semester and now owe them over $9000. Had I started saving all of the money I earned senior year, I would owe $3500, not $9000. It's still a lot of money, but it's a sum I find easier to pay off.

  3. What's unique about your campus?

The staff works as hard as they can to give myself and all of the other students the best college experience. If I need help, they go completely out of their way to help me. They gave me step by step instructions on what to do to register, what website to visit, where to find the list of classes I'll need and what code to put in my FAFSA application. They also help other students however they can with a monthly food drive and occasional contests to earn a little extra money to pay what we need to.
