I really like this school and its atmosphere. Everyone is very nice and open to starting a conversation with you. My teachers care about my education and are always open to help. The different facilities such as the library and lunch choices are my personal favorite places to be.

Arizona State University has exceeded all my expectations when it comes to their academics, programs offered, extracurricular activities, student life, and resources offered to students. It consistently set a high standard for other colleges and universities to follow and is an innovator in future career prep as well as current internship opportunities.

ASU West has a bit of a weird reputation, some of which is warranted but most of which is not. i found it was a perfect school for me: smaller classroom sizes, close knit friends, and plenty to do if you were interested. Sure, the opportunity is mainly found at the Tempe campus, but West has a myriad of great opportunities: I am now in medical school! It certainly has a "upgraded high school" vibe, but with the new on-campus housing and academic buildings being built, I have a feeling that it will become a hub for culture and opportunity on this side of town.

Diana - 09/27/2023

Arizona State University-West is a very calm and peaceful campus in which everyone respects our dedication to school. I love the environment ! Although this is my first year at ASU, I can say that they have done a great job in making new students feel welcomed.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I were to know then what I know now I would have been better prepared to know what programs and classes that I would take to complete my degree without the run-around of flip flopping between degrees. That I feel is something that happens to alot of new students and it's hard at the time to really know what is your passion before you actually take that first step and try new and different things.

  5. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

At Arizon State University they give you life skills from the moment you walk in. They train you to think and act as if youve already achieved what you could only imagine. Most colleges will give you the learning tools and all the knowledge, but no experience in your field. Here at Arizona State they give both the experience and the knowledge all in one. They want you to do great things now while youre still learning and not later.

  6. Describe the students at your school.

Many of them are in their early twenties and are looking forward to finishing school and beginning their careers. They are intelligent, eager to learn and like most people, are looking to better their lives. There was one woman in my last class that has her Masters in education but has decided to receive a certificate in special education. I think she is quite driven and very admirable. I believe that most of my classmates, although younger than I, have much to offer their fellow classmates in terms of ideas and what it means to have an open mind.

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The staff that work in the research departments that make decisions on who gets to work within the research labs or not. There appeared to be clique type environments within the research labs which I found unreasonable for people like myself who could have used the experience for my graduate school applications and I was not alotted that opportunity because I felt that I did not belong to that clique.

It's mostly quiet on this campus, which isn't a bad thing, either.
