I don't think that anyone who has the ability and is willing to learn should avoid going to this school.

Students looking for a challenging school or a specific program will want to look into their individual majors to decide if ASU offers the kind of rigorous, small classes they're looking for. Often the campus feels like one big advertisement for one magazine, TV show, or housing development; the rest of the time it's a noisy construction zone or a big stage for garage bands and street preachers. Anyone looking for a small, quiet, peaceful school or can't tolerate temperatures above 110 degrees should consider another school.

If you're the type of person who wants to go to college just so you can say "Hey, look at me! I got a bachelors!", then this school is not for you. You should not go to ASU if you don't care too much about the rest of your life.

Most students at Arizona State are very much focused around their social lives. It is sad to say but, most of those students that I met freshman year are now living back at home with their parents going to community college. If you are a person that gets really home sick or does not like going out every weekend I would not suggest Arizona State as one of your top choices.

A person who should not attend ASU is a person who is going to college for purely academic reason, or to be at cut-throat school of academic competition. The academic competition is not as high here as other schools because many of the students are here to party. This school will not fulfill their need for high academic achievement.

Anyone who wants to should attend this school. But if you don't want to work hard, don't pick a hard major, for pete's sake.

The kind of person that should not attend this college is one who is not open minded. People that do not like the heat should not attend either. No one tries to push their views upon everyone else here. This is not one of the highly competitive schools so if you wanted to go to one of those asu probably isnt the best choice.
