From personal experience I don't think there really is a type of person that shouldn't attend ASU. It would depend on the programs the person is interested in.

Melanie

Someone that is not willing to step out of their comfort zone in order to meet people or is not willing to get involved in the school should not attend Arizona State University. ASU is a great school and has a lot to offer but the student needs to be willing to get themselves involved and participate in the activities offered on campus otherwise they will simply be missing out on countless opportunities.

Laura

At times the education is liberal and "progressive" and I receive their perspectives in light of my more traditional, Christian views. I believe it is helpful in better understanding the theories that pervade the world in which I live,so although I may not agree with everything, it is useful for me to hear. There is much diversity and every student has and equal voice. If these different perspectives bother you, Arizona State may not be for you. Also, social life is important here so if you are looking for academics only, then keep this in mind.

Nancy

A person who does not have much school spirit

joshua

Someone who does not want to succeed and has no interest in making the wolrd a better place.

Ashli

A person who just wants to party and have fun. Although ASU is stereo-typed as a "party school", the students who do not take their studies seriously have a very high chance of failing out after first semester freshman year.

Breana

The kind of person who wants to be in a small school community that is really academically focused. While such opportunities are and can be available, there are so many distractions and it feels like it's missing the essence of a school. Going here, school seems almost secondary, which I find to be a terrible thing for academically-minded students like myself. Physics majors should not come here as the department is horrendous.
