Well established with there curriculum and how they conduct themselves as a school both educational and professional. I do appreciate the fact that the advisors take the time to reach out to their students on a weekly basis to check in and ask how things are going. Thank you ACU.

Aurora - 04/17/2024

It is a very welcoming environment and peaceful , something that students really need to focus on academics. What I noticed the most is the fellowship, how they support to one another without leaving anybody behind. Their companion is truly stunning.

This is the perfect university for students who struggle to be in large environments. The class sizes are perfect and I have met students with autism thriving in this environment. The disability resources are the best I have ever seen and the access to tutoring and support are adequate. I highly recommend this campus.

I think that Arizona Christian University would be a good pick for me.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Sometimes college doesn't go as you planned. I attended two other schools and took a two-year break before I ended up at Southwestern. I switched majors and minors three or four times and it has taken me longer to graduate than I intended. But don't be in a rush for these days to be over. Learn as much as you possibly can and learn how to help others and get outside yourself. You never know how many lives you may impact along the way. It may be cliche to say "stop and smell the roses," but it seems that in this case it applies. Stop. Enjoy yourself, but not so much that you miss opportunities to help others or learn. Keep plugging away, because this is the time in your life that will shape you more than any other.

  3. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

Arizona Christian University is unique in the fact that the commity is unlike any other. Their community is a closly knit one. Everyone is kind and thoughful. Because of the campus being small the community is that of around 500 people. With such a small amount of people everyone knows each other.

  4. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing at Arizona Christian University is the switch from Music and Ministry to Sports. The school originally started as a ministry school and is going more toward sports programs. It was frustrating coming in as a freshman and scholarships I would have received the year before for ministry or music were discontinued and the sports and acedemic scholarships were raised.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Aside from the tuition payments every month, the worst thing about my school is that the second floor lounge in the resident hall is never clean. It doesn't matter if it is completely trashed after a football game or if there is one single plate of cafeteria food sitting on a table, that space can never be perfectly clean. Even though our wonderful maitenance vaccums the lounge every night, crumbs and cups will always manage to find their way onto the carpet within the hour.

  12. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

The class sizes, of course! I do not know of any other university in Arizona where the largest class I ever had was less than 40 people. I find that incredible. The average size for my classes is any where around 6-15 people. The smaller classes allow for a much more in-depth learning experience and cohesive relationship with the profressor for each class.
