AI Miami International University of Art and Design Top Questions

So far, nothing. I've been here for 2 weeks and can't find anything bad.

The fact that its too expensive.

The Art Institute of Tampa is a bit indecisive in what classes it wil offer and which ones it will drop. they have few teachers to take on all of the photography classes that they offer at the moment. it's a tossup as to when classes are going to be offered for what quarters. they tell different people different informations so that what you hear from one professor is different that what you hear from another and then different from what administration says.

Location and space available to students is limited. The building is shared by another University so the space goes up instead of out which makes for little outside space as well. The school is quite close to everything but the size and space of the building is limited.

Before going to AI in miami i had gone to a school in northern florida. I tend to compare the two at times. This school lacks a sense of community because it is in the middle of downtown and the building itself is still under construction. They have only one building for dorms, which is over crowded, and there is just no college atmosphere. There are also very few clubs and organizations to build that sense of community and to make students want to stay on campus rather than go home as soon as class is over,

The worst thing about my school is the fact that we do not have many extracurricular activities such as sports, fraternities, or academic clubs. We also are very limited in the diversity of majors, mainly because the school, itself, is an art school. The dorms were horribly kept up and the housing representatives did not attend to many of the social probleams that affected many. Also, the school is too small, meaning that there are not many different classrooms and teachers available. As a matter of fact, many of the teachers teach the different courses without much experience.

The worst thing about this school is it doesn't have things like other campus' do. For example, a gym, a pool, dorms on site, a full student union with a vartiety of different things, and sports. But otherwise everything else is great.
