The professors were helpful and you could tell they really cared about the students and their success. There are many activities and clubs to be a part of. The class sizes are small enough that you can have one on one discussions with your teacher. The advisors are very helpful in helping you know what you need to do in order to obtain your degree.

It's a fun school. I enjoy my teachers and have been able to pass all classes that I've taken. I am able to just chill on campus grab a lunch and then sit for class. Teachers or nice and will allow food and drinks in some classes. They also understand everyone had a home life.

I like my school and professors a lot. I have had a very positive experience in my two semesters at Laramie County Community College. I do attend the satellite campus in Laramie, Wyoming. The response of LCCC in the class setting to COVID-19 has been very impressive and appreciated.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I should have listened to my mother. School does matter. Boyfriends don’t. Her lifelong advice for me has been to be happy, honest and smart. I always had a plan of working with animals. I knew I would need a bachelor’s degree. Leaving home would be necessary in order to attend a four year school. As choices go, I made the wrong one. Instead of following the plan, I chose to stay home and attend community college. Now there is nothing wrong with community college. Changing my plan to stay near my boyfriend was not a good choice. The boyfriend lasted until school started in September. I was not happy and, if I was being honest, I had to acknowledge that I had not made a smart choice. I should have listened to my mother. She knew because she had made a similar choice years ago. If the boyfriend is the right one he will still be there after college. so now, I am listening to my mom. I am honestly happy to say I made the smart decision to enroll at Friends University in the Zoo Science program. I am going to college and following my plan.

  3. What kind of person should not attend this school?

I don't think there is really a specific type of person who shouldn't attend LCCC. If they aren't motivated, goal oriented, or prepared than I don't think they should attend. If they aren't going to try than what is the point? I think that if anyone would want to attend, they will succeed if they try.

  15. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

It would be the way they treat one of my Professors (Mr. Z). He's a brilliant man very knowledge. He's one of those professors you see in movies quoting things out of books he read years ago and teaching off the top of his head because he KNOWS the material. The school itself doesn't agree with his methods and are fighting with him to teach their "New and Improved" cirriculum, which by the sounds of it is kind of "dumbed down". It's even gotten so bad that they won't let him write his own syllabus.
