Walla Walla Community College is a quiet little college in the small town of Walla Walla, Washington. This college is on a small but gorgeous campus, this school has a good amount of school spirit, which I like. They have a softball, volleyball, womens and mens basketball, and a baseball team. These games are fun to go to and support your school. They are renovating and building new buildings on campus. While on campus I also feel very safe and never in danger. The campus is easy to navigate and the staff are very kind and are always willing to help you. They recently added an amazing rec center with a weight room, cardio center, basketball court, and showers. I use this center all the time, it is nice, new, clean and the staff are alway greet you when you come in. Walla Walla Community College doesn't offer on campus living. The classes average from 10-30 students, the students are friendly and have been very kind. The professors have been understanding and will help students out when they communicate. All of the teachers that I have had so far are great teachers who have a passion for what they teach. They do this by making their class fun and relatable. The best part of WWCC to me is that there are no classes on Wednesday, this makes my week feel much shorter and gives me time to complete homework. There are many different classes at WWCC, I think there is a place for everyone to fit in at WWCC. Overall, I have had a great experience at Walla Walla Community College.

It is a very nice community college with plenty of student activities to get involved in. I loved all of my professors, and they are all very accommodating and respectful. I had a lot of amazing class discussions. Fine arts are amazing, there's an awesome choral group on campus that I'd definitely recommend anyone to go check out, along with the art classes!

I love it! It is small and local, but all the professors I have had were all great and gave me a wonderful first experience at college. The campus is very easy to navigate. It may take a little to get used to, but everywhere is like that. It is easy to make friends and to talk to the professors/staff.

Andrea - 07/12/2020

I have loved the time spent so far. Prior to my time at Walla Walla community college. I had no idea how to even check my oil; now I can tear apart an engine, diagnose the defect or malfunction, and than repair it. It's one of the most rewarding emotions a person can experience in life. To understand something so completely and be able to say, I learnt all of this through instructors who are the best. I have complete confidence in my knowledge because of where I went for my education.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I believe that you should live life without regrets. I believe that everything I did up to my freshman year of college set me up for my college career perfectly. In life, I've learned that someone can tell you 100 times how to act, but until you learn it yourself, the lesson won't stick. Thus, I wouldn't change or take back anything I did to prepare me for college. I had to learn the lessons on my own. This being said, if I could talk to other high school seniors and give them advice, I would tell them to take every AP or concurrent class they can in high school. I took several of these classes and it made such a difference when I entered college. The credits are quite affordable and every credit counts in college. I would also tell them to take a variety of classes in high school. This way they will be better able to weed out subjects they aren't passionate about and can pursue classes that they are passionate about as it will better assist them when picking a major.

I wish i would have known more of what it was going to be like and how the teachers really could care less about your school work and if you attend class or not. There isn't really much help offered and a lot of the staff is rude and not helpful. I also wish i would have known that I wouldn't be able to get into the classes I needed.
