What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The best advice I could give a student is to make sure it is what they want, not what their parents want. And to remember that education comes first. If they don't have your major but your sport, you need to be able to decide which one is more important. And for parents, the best advice I can give them is to make sure they are behind their child 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the way. Choosing a college to attend is one of the most difficult choice a student can make, and they need to make sure they aren't alone in their decision.

What are the most popular student activities/groups?
The most popular activites that occur on campus are getting involved with athletics. Many students are student-athletes. However the college puts on many activites for all students like different guest speakers or (my personal favorite) having the dining hall open until ten and serving foods like wings to kick off the NFL season. There are not many "typical" college parties that occur on campus since we are a dry campus but we are right near BC, BU, and Northeastern therefore on the weekends there are parties to attend. However since we are so close to the city there are so many other activites that people can go to like shopping at Faneuil Hall or going out to the movies.

What are the academics like at your school?
Depending on your level of prior education, it can be super easy, or somewhat challenging. Students are placed into classes they will do well in and work with their academic counselor to decide which classes to enroll into each semester. Most classes are straight forward and easy; there is a lot of reading usually and homework to do, but you have to try to fail your classes.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The only other school I really considered was Salem State. Compared to that school, Newbury is really small, but the class sizes are the perfect size. They're not too big or small. What I like about this school is that everyone on my floor is pretty close and I really like that. I like being able to go to anyone's door and it be normal that I'm there.

What are your classes like?
The student ration here at Newbury College is 15:1. Classes are extremely diverse. Students come from all over the world with different backgrounds and experiences. So classes are pretty small but it's very interesting to actually get to know everyones perspective and opinions in a small clazz size. You can really learn so much from the discussions as much as you can add to them. In Newbury Professors get to learn your name right away because of the average class size. Due to this reason, you create a more personal relationship with your professor, in which many cases the professor actually gets to know who you are as a student.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I would consisdered the fact that the space that we have is very small i understand that we are located in a residental area but i dpo feel the way that the campus is at could definately look bigger than it is. The bulidings are very old some as old as in the early 1800s so that means that the colod air from outside will make its way into the room making it a good idea to bring a sweater to class. The desks are very gross or just too small for the skinniest person in the room.
