Describe the students at Newbury College.

Ashley

Some are loud and annoying while others are quiet

Yomaira

My school is very diverse and I love it because you get to meet different people with different backgrounds. I do not believe any student would feel out of place in this school. Students usually dress casual to class (jeans and a shirt). People definately interact with different people.

Chris

Students at our school are fun, and easy going.

The student sin my school vary very much to accurately describe every group. The group I consider myself most involved in are all very good, eager students who really care about their education. Each of us in involved in at least one student organization. But there is always the flip side of the coin, I feel as if there are a lot of students who do not care about their education and really bring the school down. We have a lot of commuters so people really don't get involved on campus because they don't want to stay anymore time than they already do because they may live an hour away and have to get home. There are also a lot of students who are from Massachusetts and sometimes I wish there was more people from other states like I am

Jeremy

There is every kind of student here. Loud, quiet, outgoing, timid, African American, White, Asian, you name it. We have many groups on campus that make it interesting. I would say that there isn't any student that wouldn't feel welcomed here, because chances are there is a group for you here. We have students from all over the world here I think its something like 24 different countries and I have 5 of them.

Newbury is very interesting because we have such an assortment of people. My best advice would be to visit the school and see if it's a place you can see yourself at. We have people from all over the U.S. and abroad. From Alaska, and California to Spain and Trinidad. We have people who come from wealthy backgrounds and pay tuition in full to students who come from lower-class backgrounds paying through loans and scholarships. We have students who dress in suits to students who come to class still in their pajamas. At Newbury, it's about who you want to be, and what you want to do with your life. We all have a common goal here and that's what's important.

The student population at Newbury is *very* diverse. Not a single person should feel out of place at this school. By simply taking a walk down our gorgeous courtyard, you immediately see so many different types of students interacting with each other - whether they're walking to class, studying together on the big grassy areas, or chatting on one of our many Victorian-style benches. For the most part, not one race hangs out, not one major hangs out, not one age group hangs out. We all are open-minded enough to want to meet others and learn about each other.

Joanna

Some students do not acept some of the students but there are more people who are willing to get along with everyone. Some people wear comfortable clothes and others dress up for class.

Ashley

Newbury is a very diverse school, which I like. Being around the same race all the time for me, would be a bit boring. SInce Newbury is diverse you are able to learn about other students backgrounds and their culture. In the dining hall the chefs will have a cuisine based on students heritage. Since Newbury is a small school students do see most of the same students on an everyday bases but it is alot easier to make friends that way.
