What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Be prepared. When going to college, especially Wabash, you need to know it takes some serious buckling down. At the end of the semester if you buckle down you will be prepared for your final papers and exams more than your fellow classmates. Make sure to take breaks and have some fun during studying, also. If you study nonstop without breaks you will get burnt out and less work will be done than a person who takes a break, so shoot a game of pool or exercises to eliminate stress.
Do the homework whether you want to or not. I know that postponing an assignment for a while is not a good choice. By writing a paper a couple of days in advance life becomes easier. I know this seems obvious, but it needs to be done more. A last comment that needs to be said is don't be afraid to help and meet people. This allows you to build relationships for future classes and friends. College is a building experience where you learn to read, write and become a viable employee, but it takes serious sacrifice and willingness to do it.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about my school is the amount of personal attention that I get from professors. The school is small enough that I interact with my professors on a very personal level. This is important to me because I know that if I do not understand something or need help with something I can go to my professors and they are willing to help me.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
The best thing about Wabash is the closeness and comaraderie developed between the students. When I tell people I go to Wabash, one of the immediate responses is always, "Isn't that that all-male college?". The next question that comes from their lips is generally, "Why?". The town of Crawfordsville, where Wabash College is located is not the greatest of college towns. It is generally known for its drug-related reputation and its lack of things to do. At Wabash College there is a wealth of school pride and just about every student shows it. I think the most frequent student complaint is that the school is too hard and there are no girls around.

What are the most popular student activities/groups?
There is a definitive change on Friday afternoon and that is when Wabash goes from hardcore academics to weekend life. That can include performances at the fine arts center experience indiana trips (last year I saw the Vienna Boys Choir paid for by them) and a host of other events. The brothers in my fraternity also make regular trips to neighboring schools for the female aspects of social life and fraternities are active on the weekend as well.

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
That since we are all men we must be very brutish, rude, and mean to women. That is the farthest from the truth. Each man you meet at Wabash is a gentlemen. It is something that we all have in common, and we take very seriously.
