What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time, I would change my work ethic my last year. I always waited till the last minute to do all assignments and it hurt my grade alot. I would like to have pushed myself harder to do better, even though I did good, I definitely could have done better. That would have also helped me to get more grants and scholarships if I had a better transcript. Also I would have participated in alot of the fun senior year events because you can only be a senior once and should have taken advantage of experiences I could have had.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I can only consider one thing bad about this school, that would be the fact that it is only a two-year school. Even though this school doesn't offer a bachelors degree, it prepares you for the schools that does offer them and helps you to meet there expectations.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I tell my friends how less stressful it is to attend my school now, compared to the university I attended before. I tell them about how small the classes are, how the professors inform you about about all the options for undergraduate school, the regional accreditation, and this school offers 300 and 400 level classes even though it is a two-year college. I mainly brag about how they are paying three times the amount a semester than I am for the same education.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I think that I should have been more of a book worm before I came to Ivy Tech. The reason why I say this is because I am in a college even if it is just a community college, it is challenging and there isn't anything easy about it. My study habits should have been often and affective because these are the two things that will get a person through college.

What's unique about your campus?
I think the best thing about my school is how much the teachers value their work and how the teachers stick to they sylabus. At my old school that I transfered from, one teacher was late every class session and on the presentations for our speech for a final grade, she sent in another student assistant from her other class to video tape our speeches. Lots of teachers don't seem to have a heart for teaching but just want to do it for the money, at ivy tech the teachers are dedicated.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
I feel unsecure with my college and am in the process of transfering because they gave my information to 500 people online and I had to deal with identity theft. I'm out of general education classes to take and they want me to take classes not needed so I can then start clinicals and graduate. I like smaller classes and thought this would be a good choice but I feel like a check to them.
