I enjoyed my time at Lake-Sumter. I had no issues. Both online classes and on campus interactions were pleasant. The professors were attentive and answered emails in a timely manner. Class discussions were fruitful, as were the lectures. Interacting with classmates was also a pleasant experience.

Willow - 04/29/2023

The campus is okay, not too ugly but also not pretty. The teachers are nice but offer limited office hours. They do not offer a lot of classes in person though and offer most online. The online teachers do not offer a lot of feedback on assignments, and it can be hard to get ahold of them sometimes.

Asia - 08/05/2020

Lake Sumter is a wonderful community college to attend. The student body is very active in hosting different events and the academic team is very helpful in all aspects. There are career advisors around to help you with your personal career and academic advisors to help in your academic journey.

Kalli - 02/05/2020

It is a complex school to handle, most work is online which I prefer and most teachers are accommodating, they have a south lake campus which seems a little more functional. Via phone it’s difficult to find things you need in person is always better but can take a while.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would have either stayed that the first University that I went to and not move away. Or would have first went to a community college first and then tranfer because going from a university to a communiy college is bad on the financial aid. I would talk with my advisor more when chosing classes and not take so many hard classes at once. I would have listen to my parents a lot more than doing what I want to do. I would have kept my job. I would try to more friends with students and teachers so they can help me with my classes and to hve better socal life. By doing that, I would have study groups in every class.
