The most unique thing about the University of Florida is every student is inspired about what they want to do in their major and life. Every student is passionate about doing whatever it takes to not only be a successful college student but also a successful adult in their careers and everyday life.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

THe worst thing about UF is the large class sizes and the strong emphasis professors place on research over teaching.

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

The University of Florida is an art studio; it provides you with all of the supplies that you would need to create a masterpiece and it waits, hoping that you will create something worthwhile to grace its walls and attract a large audience.

What's unique about your campus?

The knowlegdge of the facuilty, or at least most of it, is of a high quility.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

University of Florida is an amazing school that opens up so many opportunities for students, both academically and socially. Academically, you will be challenged and pushed to be the very best version of yourself. I have already learned so much in my two short years here thanks to the amazing professors, wide variety of majors and classes, and tutoring supplements available to every student. Not only are we a top 15 ranked public university, but we also offer a wide variety of on and off campus organizations and events for students to get involved in. As cheesy as it sounds, there actually is something for everyone here at UF.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I would have known more about my college before I came. There are so many things to get used to as a freshman, but picking your college and getting to know it (and sometimes not finding it suitable to you) are the two biggest determining factors in deciding your major.

What are the academics like at your school?

The academics here are hard but worth it. I may not always get A's but when i finish a class, i leave that class knowing the information and material i was meant to learn.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

While the University of Florida embraces diversity of all kinds, there are some people who just do not belong here at UF. These people include anyone who does not want to embark on the greatest social and academic experience of their life and students who do not care about Gator spirit and pride. If you aren't loyal to the University and everything it stands for, than there truly is no point in attending it. Also, for anyone who wishes to simply graduate by getting by and not abiding by honesty, this is not the school for them.

What kind of person should attend this school?

People who can handle themselves in a large group setting.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most fustrating thing about the University of Florida would have to be the financial aide department. The department sometimes lacks organization and can be very time consuming when trying to resolve a students financial aide.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

The amazing reputation of UF, the football team, the wide-variety of classes offered, and the oppurtunities for your future.

Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

The stereotypes are accurate to some extent. Greek life is very prevalant on campus, and there are definitely a lot of parties. However, academia is definitely stressed here as well.

What is the stereotype of students at your school?

The students at UFl think they are smarter than students at other schools, that UFL is better than all other state schools, students are generally stuck up, we party too much, we smoke a lot of weed, UFL nurtures intellectualism and diversity, graduates have promising futures, the greek system runs the school and the most elite honor societies...

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

I will say that the stereotype student here is a good student, because it is not an easy school. Other than that, it is hard to have a stereotype because the school is so diverse, I am not able to describe a stereotype.

Why did you decide to go to this school?

Ever since I was little, I knew I was going to be a Florida Gator. There was never another school in mind, it has always been UF. I love my school and it is a privilege to be here, I bleed orange and blue and always will. UF is by far the best school in Florida and easily one of the top schools in the nation.

Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

If you can't work at home or in your dorm there are several libraries that are very quiet and open for most or all of the day. The Reitz Union is a convenient place to meet and do group assignments. If you live on campus, many dorms have a small study room or area.

I completed my bachelor’s degree at UF and loved it so much that I decided to return for my doctoral studies. My time as an undergraduate was filled with great memories, and I’m excited to create even more in the years ahead. The professors here have always been supportive, consistently offering their time and help, whether I was dealing with personal challenges or academic hurdles. The friendships I’ve formed have become lifelong connections, and I’ve found endless opportunities to get involved with the diverse range of organizations and the local community. I truly believe there’s a place for everyone at UF. The courses are challenging and require hard work, but that’s what makes the experience so rewarding—it feels like I’m getting exactly what I came for. One of the things I love most about UF is the campus itself. It’s such a beautiful, peaceful place, and I always enjoy exploring and discovering new spots during my walks.

I loved visiting University of Florida. The facility were very welcoming to my classmates and my teacher while we visited. The tour guide showed us all around the University. She showed us the cafeteria, the dorms, the housing rooms, and their policies in the University. University of Florida is a vibrant campus life with numerous student organizations, sport teams, and also cultural events. The University made efforts to improve diversity and inclusion throughout the campus. Where the University is located it benefits from a college-town atmosphere with allowing access to outdoor activities and generally warm climate. Overall, I really enjoyed visiting the University of Florida. I seen it as a great choice fro students seeking comprehensive education, research opportunities, and a dynamic campus experience

If I could go back in time, I would pick the University of Florida repeatedly. I truly met the best of friends, made forever connections, and received a degree I will hold high forever. I believe if I did it all over again, I could choose the exact opposite of what I did and still love it just as much.

The University of Florida (UF) has been my number one pick and it hasn't failed me. Being at UF has really opened up my mind to new ideas and allowed me to develop my skills professionally and grow my confidence in myself. There are many opportunities to connect and explore careers. The clubs at UF have played a big role in my life, especially cultural clubs.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
