Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a college junior or senior.
  2. Must be undergraduate or master-level students who are members of a Northwest Southern Baptist Church.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above.

Description: The Northwest Baptist Foundation (NBF) manages endowment and memorial funds that provide scholarships for students. This scholarship is available for junior or senior year undergraduates, or graduate students who are members of a Northwest Southern Baptist Church. Each year scholarships are awarded.

Application requirements for the Northwest Baptist Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The Northwest Baptist Foundation manages endowment and memorial funds that provide scholarships for students attending college. These funds are set up by Baptists throughout the Northwest for the benefit of Northwest students. The Foundation’s board awards the scholarships each year during their March meeting. Scholarships will be given to students who are affiliated with a Northwest Baptist Convention Church and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Primary consideration will be given to applicants in their junior or senior year.

Award Amount: The dollar amount of each scholarship varies. Students will receive prorated funding based on the number of credit hours they are enrolled in.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applicants fill out a form on the provider website. You must type and sign the form as well as include your most current grade transcript or report and two references. One must be a character reference and one must be Christian character reference from your pastor.
