Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a bona fide resident of the State of Alabama.
  2. Must be a member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church cooperating with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. (Seminary applicant is to be a member of a Southern Baptist church cooperating with the Southern Baptist Convention.)
  3. Must be classified as a full time student according to the school’s current catalog.
  4. Must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
  5. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.

Description: The Alabama Baptist Foundation Scholarship is available for full-time college & seminary students who are residents of Alabama, are members of an Alabama Baptist church, who maintain 2.0 GPA or higher. Every year, scholarships to students in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs are awarded.

Additional Information: The Alabama Baptist Foundation administers a few scholarship funds established by generous donors who want to further the educational goals of deserving students. Every year, the Foundation awards scholarships to students meeting the criteria required by the funds available; these include awards for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs of higher education. Scholarships are provided for college & seminary students who are residents of the State of Alabama, are members of an Alabama Baptist church, are full-time students and who maintain a 2.0 GPA. Awards are made only one time a year for the entire school year. Applicants must reapply each year.

Award Amount: The Baptist Foundation of Alabama awards scholarships on an annual basis. All students must reapply each year. Scholarships are not renewable – Students must reapply each year to be eligible.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
