  2. Must be enrolled in a graduate or post-doctorate program.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll full time.

Description: This scholarship is available to international women and U.S. women working on a professional, masters, or doctoral degree as well as women enrolled in postdoctoral study.

Additional Information: The National Educational Foundation of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was created and is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The principal activities and purpose of the trust are to award scholarship grants to worthy students for the pursuit of higher education; to conduct community educational programs which will aid in the educational and vocational improvement in individual and community living standards; to engage in activities which will aid in the educational development of all women; and to engage in any appropriate research related to the purposes of the foundation scholarships.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,000.

Applications are available online at Zeta Phi Beta website between September 1 and Feb. 1, annually. In addition to the application form, all submissions must include: three letters of recommendation, one from an academic instructor, one from a community leader, and one from another source (members of Zeta Phi Beta must use the basileus or advisor of the graduate Zeta chapter as their third reference); a university and/or high school transcript; and an essay of 150 words or more describing the student's goals and professional aspirations, why the student feels he/she should win the award, and how winning the award would help achieve his/her goals. Documented proof of academic study and plan of program must be sent to the scholarship chairperson with signature of school administrator or program director. All applications must be submitted online. Recommendation letters may be uploaded in PDF format or sent seperately by postal mail to the provided address. Applications are accepted beginning Sept. 1 and must be received no later than Feb. 1, for awards to be used in the following academic year.
