Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. This is a freshman year award.
  3. Must live within Lancaster County, Nebraska.
  4. Must graduate from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.
  5. Must plan to attend a Nebraska public or private four-year college or university.
  6. Must plan to enroll full time.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  8. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  9. Must demonstrate an interest in business through choices of classes, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
  10. Must be a high school senior at time of application.

Description: This award is available for high school seniors who are residents of Lancaster County, Nebraska and attend Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate an interest in business through choices of classes, work experience, or extracurricular activities.

Additional Information: This scholarship is available to a current graduating high school senior at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, who will attend a public or private four-year Nebraska college or university. The applicant must demonstrate qualities of leadership, good character, financial need and citizenship. The applicant must have been involved in two or more extracurricular activities or sports programs while in high school.

Award Amount: $1,200 annually, non-renewable. The award will be paid directly to the institution in the amount of $500 per semester upon receipt of verification of enrollment. The award for the second semester is contingent upon the recipient earning a 2.5 or better grade point average during the first semester, in 12 or more credit hours of college credit.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,200.

Applications and information are available online at the Lincoln Community Foundation website. In addition to the completed online application, students must submit a copy of all high school and college transcripts for courses completed so far, and a copy of the applicant's financial information that includes the Expected Family Contribution number from the student's SAR report. The SAR is obtained by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and may be accessed at http://fafsa.ed.gov. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
