Number of Awards & Eligibility: In 2019, 46 schoalrs were awarded. For 2020, the number of awards given are unknown.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior.
  2. Must attend Texas A&M.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or graduate of a high school in the U.S.
  4. Must be a National Merit Semi-Finalist.
  5. Must be majoring in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or business.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Craig and Galen Brown Foundation Awards Scholarship is for incoming freshman at Texas A&M University. More than 400 scholarships have been awarded to achieving, well-rounded high school students who were recognized as National Merit semifinalists and majoring in STEM or business. Academic excellence should be maintained.

  • Photo of the applicant
  • Portfolio
Additional Information: Competetive applicants will have high academic achiement, a history of participation in extracurricular activities, leadership skills, and strong communication skills. Complete application packets are forwarded to the foundation for review by Mr. Brown. Some applicants are selected for an interview. Final selections are made after the interview stage. All students under consideration should know of their final status by mid-February.

Award Amount: Amount varies.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
