Number of Awards & Eligibility: Six awards offered annually. Two will be provided for each deadline date. One will be selected by the website's staff and the other will be selected through audience voting and participation on social media.

Description: The Youth Forward Scholarship Program is provided annually for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and current college freshman who submit an essay on their volunteer and community service experiences. Click here to learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: The Youth Forward Scholarship Program is awarded annually for the purposes of encouraging and rewarding those students who demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteer work and community service. Applicants are encouraged to share their favorite essays on social media, and each share will be counted as one vote. At the end of the voting period, one winner will be selected based on who received the most votes, and one winner will be selected based on the opinions of DMVEdu staff. Winners will be required to provide proof of enrollment. If the applicant is not yet eligible to enroll in college, funds will be held in reserve until such time as proof of enrollment can be provided.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable. All funds will be paid directly to the student's college or university of choice.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Applications and additional information about this award are available online at the DMV Edu website. To apply, students must write an essay of up to 500 words in length that responds to the community-service related topics listed at the provider website. Students must also submit a picture of themselves for promotional purposes in the case of award selection. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted no later than the deadline date.
