The Tortoise Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship is being offered to Kansas and or Missouri area high school seniors and college students who have demonstrated an entrepreneurial initiative. Applicants must also meet the academic requirements, including a 3.3 or higher grade point average.

The George Snow Scholarship Fund offers a wide variety of scholarships, each with their own criteria. However, the most common criteria is that applicants demonstrate financial need, motivation to do their best and to help themselves/others. Amounts vary, but the average award in 2019 was $12,500.00.
The WMU Foundation provides a variety of scholarships for Southern Baptist missionary kids and individuals preparing for missions service. Over $188,000 in scholarships can be awarded each year. The overall national contest winner gets a $20,000 scholarship. Second place takes home $17,000, and third gets $15,000. Each department (state) winner who is certified into and participates in the national contest’s first round receives a $2,000 scholarship. Those who advance past the first round receive an additional $2,000 scholarship. The American Legion’s National Organization awards the scholarships, which can be used at any college or university in the United States.
