In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Wenatchee or Westside High School.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.

Description: The Eric DePersio Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating seniors of Wenatchee or Westside High School who demonstrate academic achievement and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided in memory of Eric DePersio, an exceptional student at Wenatchee High School who also enjoyed golfing, downhill skiing, and other outdoor activities. Tragically, Eric's life was cut short in 1991 as a result of a boating accident. Scholarships are administered through the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a charitable organization dedicating to providing financial assistance to other charitable groups and individuals within Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties. The selection of scholarship recipients is based primarily on a combination of academic achievements, strength of recommendations, and unmet fianncial need as calculated by the applicant's expected financial contribution. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have overcome significant obstacles, yet remain firmly committed to the highest levels of academic achievement and athletic involvement. Award recipients are contacted in early May and will be asked to provide additional documentation such as the signed scholarship agreement and verification of enrollment in an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. All funds will be deposited directly with the school of the recipient's choice.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
