In fact, New Mexico had the highest concentration of PhD holders of any state in the year 2000. But, education doesn’t always come at a small cost. This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent who are enrolled at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, San Juan College-Farmington, the University of Arizona, the University of New Mexico-Albuquerque, or Western New Mexico University. Students must major in health or a health-related field, have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and have demonstrated financial need.
New Mexico college seniors who plan to return to a New Mexico college or university full time to finish their first undergraduate degree are eligible for this award. Students must demonstrate financial need.
This award is for high school seniors with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher who demonstrate critical financial need and are residents of New Mexico.
This award is available for U.S. students enrolling at Bucknell University. First generation college students, students from outside the university’s traditional geographic area, and those who bring cultural and intellectual diversity to the campus will be considered.
High school seniors and transfer students who are not residents of Idaho and are planning to enroll at Lewis-Clark State College for the first time are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must plan to enroll full time.
U.S. college sophomores or juniors currently enrolled in a public college or university in one of the states in ASME District E (Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming) are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and major in mechanical engineering.
High school seniors graduating from Albuquerque High School in New Mexico who have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must enroll in a STEM major and demonstrate financial need.
This award is for international and U.S. college juniors and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in occupational safety and health or a closely related field. The applicant must enroll full time and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Priority will be given to students residing in or attending classes in New Mexico or Colorado.
This award is for U.S. and International students who are planning to attend Louisiana Tech University as an out-of-state transfer student. Students must have complete at least 12 semester hours of college credit and have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
