Description: The Ruth Greenberg Memorial Fund for Rabbinical Training is available for Jewish students in St. Louis who are pursuing a career in rabinnical studies.

Additional Information: The Ruth Greenberg Memorial Fund for Rabbinical Training is provided through The Jewish Federation of St. Louis. The award was founded by the late Ruth Greenberg to provide financial assistance to St. Louis area Jewish students who are majoring in and planning to pursue a career in rabbincal studies. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic performance, community involvement, and commitment to a career in the rabbinate. Scholarship Central is made possible by a joint commitment between St. Louis Graduates and the St. Louis Community Foundation, as well as a variety of private and public sponsors. Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

To be considered for this award, students must register an online account with the Scholarship Central scholarship application system. In addition to the online application form, applicants for the The Lentin Scholarship Fund must submit: responses to the supplemental questions; high school and/or college transcripts; proof of financial need; one letter of recommendation; a history of employment and/or community service activities; and an optional personal statement that describes any unusual circumstances the applicant may be facing. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online system no later than the deadline date.
