Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year the program is available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in and attend a high school in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties of MA.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.

Additional Information: The William A. and Vinnie E. Dexter Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to graduating seniors who attend a high school in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, or Hampshire Counties in Massachusetts. The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts administers and manages all scholarship applications for this award, as well as 130 other scholarship funds. Students who apply for one award will automatically apply for all scholarships they are eligible for.

Award Amount: Scholarships are typically awarded in the amount of $1,000 and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for the William A. and Vinnie E. Dexter Scholarship Fund are available and accepted between January 1 and March 31. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the online application at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts website. Completed application forms will also require students to submit a recent copy of transcripts as well as their current year Student Aid Report. The Student Aid report is obtained when the student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applications must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
