Description: This scholarship will award $2,000 to a student who is interested in one of the following: Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, Alternative Fuel Resources, Conservation, Renewable Energy Finance, or other general energy market topics. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Additional Information: Criteria The Shinesolar.com Scholarship will award $2,000 to a student who meets the following criteria: • Students must show a general interest in one of the following: Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, Alternative Fuel Resources, Conservation, Renewable Energy Finance, or other general energy market topics. • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and have completed at least one full-time college semester. • Students must choose between one of the following two essay topics: 1. Write a 1,000-word essay detailing your experience working on a green energy promoting project or one you would like to work on in the future. 2. Write a 1,000-word essay detailing how you would solve the recycling problem with battery storage and solar panels over the next 10 years. Deadline The scholarships deadline for each applicant to apply will be November 15th and July 15th of each year. A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded the first week following each semester. The winner will be notified via phone, e-mail, or mail. Scholarship funds will be delivered within one week of notifying the determined winner.
