Are there scholarships specifically for Latinos?
The number of Latino students starting college this year has grown. There will be more new students of Latino descent than any other minority group. And while college costs can be too expensive for many students, scholarships for Latinos are available.
To qualify for scholarships for Latinos, Latino students should consider their grade point average (GPA), test scores, and community involvement. These are some of the factors that can help with winning scholarship money. Always check the rules and requirements for scholarships.
Scholarships for Latinos are available. They were created to help increase college attendance among Latinos.
Does the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) cover Latinos?
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) provides scholarships and support to members of the Latino community pursuing college degrees. The HSF was founded in 1975. It has provided over $580 million in funds to Latino students, parents and alumni. The mission of the scholarship fund: “To empower Latino families with the knowledge and resources to complete a higher education.”
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides more than scholarships, though. HSF provides support throughout the college application process, during school, and throughout students’ lifetimes. The goal is to make college a priority for “exceptional” Latino students and ensure that they have the help they need to succeed.
The HSF is a great resource to help you receive Latino scholarships and the support you need to graduate college.
