My classmates have been nothing, but nice people who have contributed many different perspectives to the classroom.

I wouldn't want to be with any other class mates:)

The students are nice and welcoming to all. (in a general)

The students at Winona State University are very different. This isn't a very cliquey school, so everyone gets along with every one! In High School the athletes stuck with their atlete friends and the drama fans were pretty much thier own clique. At this University, there is a very mixed dynamic. Im friends with 2 people on the Lacrosse team and with someone on the Rugby team. I am a very study focused person, but my friends are all very different types of people.

Winona State is a diverse school. There are international students, in-state students, and out-of-state students. It is impossible for a student to feel out of place at WSU because there is a club on campus for any of your interests. Many different students interact on campus because the student body is welcoming of differences. In my opinion, the more unique a person the better!

At Winona State there is a wide variety of students that go here. There are a lot of foreign exchange students that have come here from either China or Japan. There is a huge program they have here for that. Most students don't dress up going to class unless they are giving a speech or are going to be teaching some where. Just like every school there are a huge variety of different groups. There are people who involved with church, swimming, sororities, frats, health, etc. There are a lot of different clubs that you can be in also. All of the students here don't have a problem interacting with one another. Students here tend to think about their future because that is potentially why we are at school.

All the students here are very nice and welcoming. I have had no problem making friends whatsoever. I think a student that is naturally shy and is a homebody might not enjoy this school because a lot of people like to go out and do things on weekends. With regards to dress, it's pretty much half and half with dressing up and wearing sweats. The dining hall groups here are the athletes who always sit together and eat a TON, the asians and other international students who mostly stick together, the group of girls and guys that are all friends, and the upperclassmen who still live on campus with meal plans. A lot of students live with in four hours of Winona. I haven't really noticed whether students are politically aware or their financial backgrounds, no one really talks about it.

My classmates are very kind and helpful because they are going through the same things that I am.

There is no way to generalize this. Some are religious, some are jocks, some are artsy, theatrical, 'nerdy', anything you can imagine. We have clubs for everyone. I can't think of a 'type' of person that I haven't seen around campus.
