What do you consider the worst thing about Western Washington University? Why?

Brittany

There are a lot of hippies.

Rosselle

I believe that the buy back of textbooks at the student bookstore should at least be half the price back to the students, or more.

The worst thing about my school is the location of the dorms. There are three dorm locations on campus: North Campus, the Ridge, and South Campus. The dorms on South Campus are a ten minute walk to Red Square and the Ridge is up hill. North Campus is in the best location in relation to where classes are held, but it is often referred to as the "Bible Belt" of campus because it is the more conservative, studious students who live there. It was hard for me to decide where I wanted to live because of each location’s downfalls.

The cold, because the weather is so much more intense up here, and most students are not prepared for it, like I wasn't. I'm adjusting, but I would say that warning all prospective students would be a good idea so that they take packing for the weather seriously. Most people don't, and then end up suffering for something that could've been avoided.

There is nothing I consider to be bad about Western. I just transfered from Rhode Island College, where even though it was a great experiance it was not the right environment for me. At Western I feel as if i am at home, and fit in. I love it here

Registering can be dfficult but that's about it. Sometimes it seems like there aren't enough classes for the students, but this is all dependant on your major and how hard you work in the classes you have. If yu do well in your classes, you will have no problems. Problems come along when you do something to demonstart that you may not be the best student to get the spot in a particular class.

The worst part of Western Washington University would be the worst part of any other university. The high price for my education and the budget cuts put a stress and strain on my family as well as me. The majority of Washington residents, out of fear I'm guessing, voted for no income tax, which means there is no other options than to cut more from education as well as other things. But education cuts is what everyone feels the most, probably because it happens to be one of the most vital organs of a nation.

The most difficult part of my program what creating a title for my major. There was no way around sounding hippy, and I believe most students had to use a semicolon to conjunct subjects with rational.

The worst thing about WWU is that it is full of hills. Even though it is the worst thing, it is a minor flaw.

I believe the worst thing about my school is the lack of student-centered employment. You'd think that a university town would be teeming with prospective employers, businesses that cater to the specific needs of those attending the school. As it is, obtaining a job with a flexible work schedule is greatly limited. Leaving employment on campus as the only "for sure" way to secure work.
